Privacy Policy — GLP

GLP ("we", "us", the "App") is a marketplace for buying, selling, and auctioning racing pigeons. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can access or delete your data. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

You provide:

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, mailing/shipping address, and profile photo.
• Listing content — photos of pigeons and pedigree documents, prices, descriptions, and pedigree data you enter or scan.
• Communications — messages you send us for support.

Collected automatically:

• Device and usage data — device identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostics/crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics).
• Approximate location — a coarse, IP-derived location (via ipgeolocation.io) used for regional features and fraud prevention. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Payments:

• When you buy, sell, or receive payouts, payment processing is handled by Stripe. Card numbers and bank details are entered into and stored by Stripe — we never receive or store your full card or bank account numbers. We retain a record of transactions (amounts, items, dates, and a Stripe customer/account reference) to operate the marketplace.

Pedigree photographs and automated reading

When you scan a pedigree certificate, the photograph is uploaded to our servers and sent to Amazon Bedrock, which runs an AI model that reads the ring numbers and family tree from the image. The photograph is stored only for the duration of that single scan and is then deleted; a storage rule removes anything left behind within 24 hours. Only the extracted text — not the photograph — is saved to your loft. Images are not used to train any AI model.

How we use your information

• Operate the marketplace: create your account, publish listings, run auctions, process orders, and arrange delivery.
• Process payments to sellers and payouts via Stripe Connect (we charge a commission on sales).
• Prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
• Provide customer support and send transactional notifications (e.g. outbid, order, and delivery emails).
• Improve the App through aggregate analytics and crash diagnostics.

How we share your information

• Between users: to complete a sale, a buyer and seller are shown the information needed to fulfil the order (e.g. name and delivery address for shipping).
• Service providers (processors):
• Stripe — payment processing and seller payouts.
• Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — backend APIs and data storage.
• Google / Apple — sign-in when you choose "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple".
• ipgeolocation.io — coarse IP-based location lookup.
• Amazon Bedrock (AWS) — automated reading of pedigree photographs.
• Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app tracking or third-party advertising.

Data retention and deletion

• We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
• Delete your account in-app: open Me → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your profile and associated personal data from our systems. Some records required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes (for example, completed transaction records held by Stripe) may be retained for a limited period as required by law.
• You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@enjoypigeonraces.com.

Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), authenticated APIs, and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the App you consent to this transfer.

Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. EEA/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Exercise these by using in-app account deletion or contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified in the App.
